Support for Inclusion
Support Principle #2 “universally inclusive” in the f/p/t Agreements-in-Principle and in the detailed Action Plans
November 2005

  • In early November, SpeciaLink sent a personalized letter to every deputy minister responsible for regulated child care in every Canadian province or territory.
  • SpeciaLink is sharing this position with Ministers, government officials and provincial consultations and with disability and child care organizations across Canada.
  • We encourage YOU to get involved in making the principle of "universally inclusive" a reality in the f/p/t detailed action plans for the Child Care Agreements-in-Principle.
  • Please feel free to cut and paste or build on our response by adding your own so that our governments receive clear and consistent messages.
  • Take part in any provincial or territorial consultations (e.g., BC). Plan to attend their meetings to speak to the issue of universally inclusive, fill out their electronic survey forms, and speak out in support of this important part of our pan-Canadian child care system.
  • Please be in touch with us if we can help in any way!
